New FedEx facility to bring 300 jobs to Manatee County

PALMETTO -- Earth-moving equipment cranked up across from Port Manatee Wednesday to pave the way for a new FedEx Ground regional distribution center expected to employ roughly 300 people.

It is the first national corporation to base a facility on a 136-acre industrial park owned by JoMar Real Estate Services Inc., a Largo-based developer that specializes in build-to-suit industrial property. JoMar closed on the property -- an $18 million deal -- on April 7 for its first development in Manatee County.  More>>>
